Construction Laborer
Seawest Specialty Contracting, LLC is a family owned and operated specialty construction company located in Cape Girardeau, MO. We are seeking construction laborers, truck drivers, and equipment operators to join our team.
Job Description:
All positions will be responsible for installing lightweight insulating concrete and expanded polystyrene (EPS) roof insulation on projects typically within 300 miles of Cape Girardeau, MO, as well as performing other construction related tasks, such as loading and unloading truckloads of material, stocking materials on roof areas, and setup and teardown of mobile equipment. These positions will not work with asphalt products, roofing shingles, open flames or torches.
Qualifications:
·Reliable personal transportation to and from our office located at 624 Commercial Street in Cape Girardeau, MO is required.
-Must have a valid driver license and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance company.
·Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
·Ability to lift and carry 40+ lbs.
-work on roofs and use ladder for roof access and egress
-bend/lift/push/pull as needed
-stand/walk for extended periods of time
-balance and handle materials, tools, and 2 inch diameter water and concrete hoses, etc.

Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions including hot, cold, and inclement weather
·Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed during peak construction periods.
·Ability to work independently with limited supervision while performing tasks assigned by the onsite crew leader.
·Ability to follow directions from supervisors and coworkers.
-Must maintain reliable and timely means of communication with crew leader and co-workers at all times,
Job Type: Construction Laborer Full-time Year round
Starting rate of pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
8 hours per day, with up to 12 hours per day as job conditions require
Overtime required depending on job conditions
Weekend work required when out of town
Travel to all jobsites and return to office is provided via company trucks.
Out of town lodging provided by company.
Per diem paid for meals and incidentals on out of town jobs.
Experience working in general trades construction is a plus.
Experience in construction layout and job site planning is a plus.
Experience operating light and medium sized construction equipment, farm equipment, and forklifts is a plus.
Having a Commercial Driver License of any class is a plus.
Class A CDL is a big plus.
Experience driving light and medium duty trucks pulling trailers is a big plus.
